Natural Habitats Expressway
Expressways are big projects. Natural Habitats planted and maintain the new Huntly Expressway. This one is tricky to shoot… its mainly the scale. The obvious answer was to use a drone or get onto overpasses. There are rules around flying that any business needs to be aware of. You need to be cleared for the airspace and anything you fly over. For this one that meant keeping over to the side of the road, since no traffic management was used, and avoiding private land if permission wasn’t granted. Luckily on expressways, there are lots of planting areas you can go up from and angle the camera to get the shot. I believe this project got a silver at the Landscaper of the Year awards.
