Kate – Dark & Moody

This boudoir shoot was part of a creative test where I gave myself constraints, intentionally limiting tools and setup to push both technique and mood creation.

We took a few shots outdoors at a local park, but the heart of this session was indoors, where we chased that dark, moody tone. The lighting was stripped back, deep shadows, minimal highlights, designed to create images that feel cinematic: quiet, intimate, and a little mysterious.

Kate brought a grounded, confident presence. She quietly holds space in front of the camera in a way that makes room for real emotion to surface. That allowed me to focus more deeply on the technical side without losing the human side.

What I love most about these images is their restraint. They donโ€™t demand attention, they draw you in. Theyโ€™re quiet, but strong. Iโ€™m still shaping this darker style, but I like where itโ€™s headed. Itโ€™s not about perfection. Itโ€™s about how the image feels.
