Boudoir photography is something most people do for a bit of a fun experience and confidence boost. Generally we would go for a light and happy tone, maybe a few black and white shots that feel more moody. Usually you will already have an idea of what you think might work for you taste, perhaps even some reference shots we can use as inspiration.
I am a relaxed photographer. We are going for interesting and cool results which will come half from me and half from you. I like natural light but if that’s not right for the theme then we can rock the studio lights.
As well as getting nice photos, you should have fun during the shoot. Most people are not models so I can give some direction and posing suggestions. Most people go for either something a bit dark and moody with studio lights, a bedroom setting, or out in nature like the bush. I can suggest some spots that I know work. We can also do a mixture of shots and outfits.

Boudoir Photography FAQ
What does it cost?
It depends on the time and effort put into the shoot. Typically a photoshoot is 1 hour of shooting, and 3 hours of professional editing, so falls under my half-day rate on my pricing page. The cost can go up if more time is needed either for shooting or special edits.
How do I book?
Just send me a message, but make sure you mention your preferred date so I can check my calendar and the theme or style you are wanting. A $50 non-refundable deposit is needed to confirm your booking.
How do I select a boudoir photographer?
Have a look at each photographer’s examples and make sure you like the style of the pictures they make generally. You want to make sure you have similar tastes to them as well as see people they shoot with a similar style to you. Maybe follow them on social media to see consistency and their personality.
What if I need to change the date or cancel?
You will lose your deposit if you cancel the shoot after booking. Other money paid will be refunded (unless costs have been incurred eg hiring a location).
How do I prepare for the shoot?
I work with all sorts of people. some are relaxed and some detail orientated, but everyone needs to go into the shoot with an understanding of the theme. The best way to do that is by having a chat at the time of booking and to look at similar results by me. The main things you will need to decide on is the location and wardrobe. I can help out with posing and direction at the shoot if I know what you are hoping for as a result.
When will I get the photos?
I normally send through everything within a week but will let you know if that’s not going to be achievable.
How many photos do I get from a boudoir photography session?
People sometimes want to know how many photos and it’s really hard to estimate as it depends a lot on you and what happens during the shoot time.
